Gracie Kailea Vox McCade : The hereditary duchess of Nethyrin and founder of the Serenissima Society for the Arts. She resides in her palazzo in Orietheldarin with Prince Samael Rhenvana. Currently a member of the venerable QCC Council, and owner of Desert Winds Stables, Sunstone Jewelers, among others. Has a growing personal collection of rare gems, and spends her free time painting, and attending performances in the city. [ sn: saeving grace ]

 Ryan Dillon Vox McCade : Fleet captain in the golden age of trade, and the glue that holds his family together. He oversees all shipping and maritime issues, and is a shipwright when he is landlocked. Resides in Sanibel with his wife Aine, daughter Chloe, and another on the way.  [ aim sn: ryan maccade ]

 Keja Miri & Colin Iain Vox McCade: Younger siblings to Grace and Ryan. Colin will apprentice to an architect soon, but Keja Miri is still a loose cannon, both are teetering on their teen years. When given a weighty choice when their parents moved to Scotland, Colin chose to stay in Sanibel with family, and Keja Miri a boarding school in Nethyrin.

Prince Samael Rhenvana : Eyrien Warlord Prince residing in the Duchess' palazzo in Nethyrin with Grace. The Grey Starlight Stables are under his administration. Confident, formidable, and highly intelligent, he helps keep any enterprise he touches running smoothly. [ sn: samael rhenvana ]

Eden SaShaitan:  Neice to Samael Rhenvana. Though spends her time out of the country, her love of fine jewels is well known, and makes her a kindred spirit when private auctions are held through Serenissima for magnificent gems.  [ sn: jeweled eden ]

Annie delicato :  Annie may not fit the mold that the others did, but she is loyal to the hilt to those she has placed her trust in and will follow them to the ends of the earth if need be. A free spirit who often looks after animals of all types, and runs a small herbs and medicinals shop near her woodland home.. [ sn: gntleannie ]

Alex & Marit Sunhaven : Oldest son and heir of Des Sunhaven-Hayll, Alex has grown up around many of those in Serenissima and is considered more kin than even blood could provide. He is the one to turn to in researching rare and valuable pieces that pass through the warehouses, and is a scholar and translator of languages.
