Welcome to Sunstone Prive', purveyors of works of jeweled art ranging from single digit carat weights, to literally hundreds. As such, we conduct business by private meetings and negotiations, as pieces will sell not only for qcoins, but for trade goods, resources, equestrians, leases, etc.

Most pieces are one of a kind..once sold, there will be no other.  You may place pieces on hold on a "wishlist" for up to six months. That will allow time for trade, buying, or hinting to a loved one what you'd really love for the next holiday.

Each purchase comes with the following: A certificate of authenticity, rarity, and gem quality, jewelry cleaning set, a grading loupe to inspect your gems, and a guarantee for most repairwork.

This shoppe is a culmination of years of trading, buying, and bartering for gemstones, and precious metals.  We do continue to purchase stones and metals, and also offer consignment if there is a special piece you wish to sell.
 

OUTRIGHT SALE
 Sunstone offers the option of outright purchase of property. This allows the seller the advantage and convenience of immediate payment. Many sellers prefer this method of sale rather than consigning their property to auction and awaiting payment after the successful sale of the items. [ stones and pieces -must- have carat weights and descriptions already in place, at time sale. ]

CONSIGNING TO AUCTION
In consigning property, the seller retains ownership until the successful sale of the item. There will be a seller's commission. Before an item is offered, the consignor and Sunstone may agree on a reserve price, a confidential minimum selling price. Unless a specific reserve is arranged, a discretionary reserve is fixed at fifty percent of the low estimate.  [ stones and pieces -must- have carat weights and descriptions already in place, in order for consignment to take place. ]

This is not a "cut & paste" shop, the contents of which materialized out of thin air. Three mun years have gone into -roleplaying- the sources for this jewelry. Purchase, trade, gifts, and resources as payment have been obtained from actual QCC characters such as: Carolynne, Haven Maddox, Julia Noir TS, Jas Scarlett, TheLdyDES & Auden Hayll, Kerrinne, Samael Rhenvana, Rae NAlsia, Jack Kincaid TS, Brame Cantrell, and others.  Old Sunstone overstock was a basis for resetting into larger pieces.

 

"But there aren't any prices! How am I to know the value for trade??" If you want to know a ballpark guesstimate, the old Sunstone location uses a loosely general rule of 100 qcoins per carat for stone pricing. This base price went up and down when things such as other materials used, rarity, and stone type were taken into consideration. Obviously a semi-precious 7 carat citrine isn't going to nearly as much as a 7 carat blue diamond. Value escalates with larger single stones. As only part of the purchase needs to be in qcoins, it leaves the rest of a piece's worth up to trade and haggling.
