The Harbor Lights Candleshop
Stepping through the spacious establishment adjacent to the inn,
a small tinny bell resounded its minute chime at your presence.
Abounding on every flat surface were examples of the candlemaker's
craftsmanship. Lining shelf after shelf in many differing patterns
and designs, perhaps one out of every four with a flame dancing at its
end to provide the store illumination. Some streaked with
numerous colors, or speckled with glitter. Pillars,
tapers, ... the variety was considerable. As was the lack of
fragrance for a scented candleshop. Obviously, the proprietor had
taken great pains to make those of sensitive natures welcome by
presenting only unscented examples of the craft. Sample vials of
the selection were instead on a small rack at one side of the
business counter, labeled clearly for the convenience of the
patron.

6 Pack of Tea Lights-
Small candles meant as much for decorative purposes as creating a
wider coverage of ambient light, set in a thin tin base of either
burnished or matte metal.

Another decorative sort of candle, slightly larger than the tea

4 Pack of Taper Candles-
Slightly thicker than and inch and standing between 6 to 24 inches,
the taper candle is the standard for most candelabras and
candlestick holders.

4 Pack of Pillar Candles-
Anticipated to be our best seller, the pillar is a very versatile
adornment that needs no stand and lasts a very long time. The usual
pillar candle is about 4 inches thick and 9 inches tall.

Jar Candle-
Never worry about spilled wax with this candle situated in a 25 ounce

The 3 Wick Candle-
The number three is often considered a lucky number, or sacred to many
religions. Whether you're seeking its strength or merely enjoying the
enhanced light provided by our largest candle, it promises hours of
use.

Scented Candle-
The standard candle sold at the Harbor Lights Candleshop. Each hand
made from the finest materials such as fresh beeswax and silk thread
wicks. Several drams of any one fragrance are also included per
batch of candles, carefully balanced to last with a distinctive scent
without being overpowering. Available in color of choice.
Mixed Scent Candle-
A popular selection, this is a custom made candle of any two
fragrances of the patron's wishes from our available stock. Try
your hand at a distinctive aroma that is only yours. Pick from a
common theme such as cinnamon & apple, or create something of your
own! Whatever tickles the fancy of your nose. Also available in
color of choice.
Marble Pattern-
Another custom request, this choice creates a "streaked" mixture of
any two hues like the veined appearance of marble. Very original,
a definite eye catcher for those who feel their candles need to be
pleasing to the eye even when not in use.
Glittered Wax-
At a small additional fee, iridescent sparkles may be added to the
candle during its creation. While often of a strikingly
different tint to the candle, pleasantly subtle combinations are
just as popular.
Metallic Candles-
Unfortunately, metallic colors do not take well when added to
beeswax. However, for those truly intent on a silver or golden
candle may opt for this special feature. For only an additional
coin or two, an additional layer of enamel paint may be added
to each candle for a true metallic appearance.
NOTE: Due to its
glass enclosed nature, this option is not available for the jar
and tea light candle.
A leather bound ledger with a rose depicted on the cover, sat open, still on
its first pages but with a growing number of requests.
